Are you unable to work due to an injury or
disability?
If you are injured or become ill (on, or off the job), be sure to check
with Local 315 for information on continuing your benefits during your
disability. Some health plan administrators provide weekly disability
benefits and options for continuation of benefits. Please check your
contract and benefit plan book to see if this option is available.
NOTE: Your employer pays your monthly health and welfare
premium in accordance with the terms and eligibility requirements outlined
in your contract, and by virtue of your membership in a local union.
The payments are made directly to your health administrator, who manages
your benefits and all claims. All questions about billing and claims
processing should be directed to the health plan administrator. For your
convenience, Local 315 and many shop stewards can direct you to your
assigned health administrator.
